A little help.
Then back to flow.
Orttakey needs iOS 18 or later, microphone permission, and approximately 253 MB for its speech model.
Availability
Orttakey is being prepared for TestFlight and the App Store. A public download or TestFlight invitation is not available on this page yet. This page will link to it when it is ready.
Set up the keyboard
- Open Orttakey and follow the welcome steps.
- In Settings → Apps → Orttakey → Keyboards, enable Orttakey and Allow Full Access.
- Return to Orttakey, allow the microphone, and download the speech model.
- Turn voice on. In a text field, switch to Orttakey using the globe key.
- Tap Talk, speak, then tap Done. Your words appear at the cursor.
Starting a voice session
If the keyboard shows Start, tap it to open the companion app and turn voice on. Return to the app where you were typing. The microphone remains active during the voice session so the keyboard can start the next capture immediately. Use Turn off in Orttakey when you are finished; the session also has an inactivity timer.
If dictation does not start
Check microphone permission, Full Access, and that the model download completed. Open Orttakey and turn voice on again if the session has expired. The first model download needs an internet connection; dictation runs on the device afterward.
If the keyboard is missing
Enable it in iPhone Settings, then hold the globe key in a text field and select Orttakey. iOS uses the system keyboard for secure password fields and some other fields; some apps also disable third-party keyboards.
